Dennis is an Associate Advocate at Awele Advocates LLP practising in the Dispute Resolution and Commercial Litigation Department. He has extensive experience in Dispute Resolution and Corporate Commercial Law where he provides advisory services to various clients in connection with the high value cross-cutting litigation and corporate commercial transactions ranging from sale and purchase/lease of property such as commercial and residential units.
Dennis has a broad-based litigation expertise having successfully represented clients, both individuals and corporates, drawn from various sectors of the Kenyan economy including governmental, non-governmental and private entities.
He has represented clients in cross-cutting areas of litigation namely civil, criminal, constitutional, employment /industrial, succession and family matters as well as handling high profile commercial cases in the High Court and appellate courts.
Dennis is also experienced in handling real estate and conveyancing matters, corporate and commercial transactions and arbitration matters.
- Has vast experience successfully representing various clients, both individual and companies in cross-cutting employment disputes at the Superior Courts.
- Successfully representing political parties and individual clients in election disputes emanating from political party nominations from Political party dispute tribunal (PPDT), High court and Court of Appeal.
- Successfully involved in representing various clients in post-election disputes emanating from General elections of Member of County Assembly, Member of Parliament, Gubernatorial and Presidential elections.
- Successfully representing companies in prosecution and defence of insolvency petition claims.
- Has vast experience in property conveyance and ordinarily represents purchasers, vendors, financiers in structuring conveyancing transactions.
- Has represented numerous individual and corporate property developers in liaising with project consultants for various works in the project developments including preparation of sale agreements, leases, handling of transfers in various registries in Kenya, handling the sub division processes, Change of User and Extension of Leases.
- Successfully represented private investors in various claims before the Environment Tribunal and Environment and Land Court.
- Successfully represented multinational organisations in litigating on the right to highest standards of reproductive health.
- Successfully representing government parastatals against claims challenging performance of their statutory mandates
